AGENDA
64 TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES
65 TO APPROVE the Minutes of the last meeting held on 18th January 2021 and the extraordinary meeting held on 22nd February 2021.
66 MATTERS ARISING from the last meeting:
a) Streetlight in the Recreation Ground car park – to report the Clerk has one quote from K&M Lighting, one of the South Cambs District Council suppliers, Proelectric and is still waiting for Balfour Beatty.
b) To report the cross trainer at Foxgloves outdoor gym has been reinstalled.
d) To report the Clerk wrote to, and emailed, Marshalls about land for community projects but received no response yet.
e) To report RH Landscapes have completed the winter tree work.
f) To report South Cambs District Council should have cleared the ditch that runs alongside the Borley Way play area and to update Committee on the flooding.
67 PLAY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS:
a) To consider the Safeplay report from the inspection carried out on 1st February 2021, and to decide on any work needed. Reports and a summary sheet (produced by the Clerk) attached.
b) To report Safeplay dismantled the cradle swings at Foxgloves in June 2020 and will rehang them for £241 +VAT. Please note: the Clerk spoke to two other companies for quotes but they will not hang swings on a frame that is not theirs. The frame has no manufacturers name on it.
68 To consider any maintenance issues and use of the skate park.
69 To consider planting a community orchard on the village green and allowing wildflowers to grow on verges along Gazelle Way. Papers attached.
70 To discuss the issue of fly tipping in the layby in Cherry Hinton Road.
71 To decide on a replacement litter bin for Lady Jermy Way and dog bin for Eland Way. Paper attached.
72 GRASS CUTTING CONTRACT. To receive any updates.
73 ZERO CARBON GRANT.
To note there is a new scheme run by Cambridge Carbon Footprint with support from the South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Zero Carbon Communities Fund called Net Zero Now. The programme will help train and support new and existing community climate leaders across the district and help to deliver carbon reduction activities, events and communications that engage people of all backgrounds.
