050 To receive APOLOGIES.
051 To APPROVE the Minutes of the last meeting held on 16th January 2023.
052 MATTERS ARISING from the last meeting:
a) Item 38 – COMMUNITY ORCHARD – to note volunteers have decided that a covered area would not be useful to them.
b) Item 40 – Cllr Amrani to update the Committee on her meeting with the county’s youth worker and to discuss steps forward in consulting with Foxgloves residents about playground equipment provision.
c) Item 41 – Cllr Kelleway to update the Committee on the provision of grit bins in the parish.
d) Item 43i – to report the timber testing was carried out (see separate item)
e) Item 43 ii – to report the Foxgloves cross trainer was replaced.
f) Item 170 (February Full Council) – to update the Committee on the proposal from Cllr Kelleway to plant cherry trees (Amanogawa) in the Recreation Ground car park.
053 COMMUNITY ORCHARD:
a) To report the Clerk and Christine Shaw met with Chris Flood, from Marshall, to agree a site for the information board.
b) To report Marshall has consulted contractors about sorting out the mud in the car park.
c) To report the volunteers have carried out necessary tree pruning and winter wash.
d) To report the volunteers are planning to hold an Easter Egg hunt.
054 To discuss the arrangements for the event on Sunday 7th May to commemorate and celebrate the King’s Coronation. (Please note it has been registered as an official event on coronation.gov.uk)
055 PLAY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS (PAPER ATTACHED):
a) To consider the results of the timber testing.
b) To consider the results of the annual inspection of playground equipment and decide on repairs required.
056 SKATE PARK: Nothing to report
057 GRASS CUTTING/HEDGE CUTTING: To report the landscaping contract was awarded to RH Landscapes for the next three years (decided at Full Council on 6th March 2023).
058 ZERO CARBON GRANT: Nothing to report
059 RECREATION GROUND HIRE/USE: Nothing to report
060 OTHER ISSUES Opportunity to report or table other ideas and issues, not elsewhere on the agenda.
