035 To receive apologies.
036 To approve the Minutes of the last meeting held on 27th September 2022.
037 MATTERS ARISING from the last meeting:
i) Item 22 iii) To report the Orchard’s poster case will be ordered and the Clerk has begun to draft the information to be displayed which she will circulate for comment.
ii) Item 025 – To report RH Landscapes carried out the tree and hedge work in Glenville Close on behalf of Persimmon Homes. The Clerk has contacted Persimmon about an action plan for the future maintenance and is waiting to hear back.
iii) Item 30i) To report the hedge at the bottom of the gardens in Lemur Drive which was damaging fences was discussed and cut by RH Landscapes.
iv) Item 30ii) To report the overhanging trees at 7 Pembroke Way have been removed.
038 COMMUNITY ORCHARD: The volunteers will attend to update the Committee on the Community Orchard.
039 To discuss holding a relaunch event for the parish ebikes.
040 To discuss providing new play equipment at Foxgloves.
041 To discuss item referred from Full Council for discussion: Item 156 Consideration of Parish Council Risk – To discuss providing a network of grit bins in the parish, as well as in Ferndale/Fulbourn Road, after a suggestion by a resident via facebook. Paper attached.
042 To discuss providing a way of commemorating the life of former parish councillor and chair, Tom Wakeling.
043 PLAY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS:
i) The annual inspection report recommended timber testing the wooden play equipment and the Committee wanted more information on when this was last carried out. To report this was last carried out March 2020 and a couple of timbers had to be replaced. To test all our wooden equipment would be £1380. Decision required.
ii) To report the cross trainer at Foxgloves outdoor gym is broken. Spare parts cannot be sourced for repairs. Quote for removal and making good with safety surface is £698 and quote for new, like for like, piece of equipment is £2990.
044 SKATE PARK: Nothing to report
045 GRASS CUTTING/HEDGE CUTTING: To note the landscaping contract will be going out to tender in February.
046 ZERO CARBON GRANT: Nothing to report
047 RECREATION GROUND HIRE/USE:
To discuss item referred from Full Council for discussion: Item 151 ACTION Cllrs Amrani and Hejny to arrange a meeting, on site, of parish councillors and the Russell from Cherry Hinton Lions to discuss landscaping, snagging, future upkeep and maintenance.
048 OTHER ISSUES Opportunity to report or table other ideas and issues, not elsewhere on the agenda.
