35 TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES
36 TO APPROVE the Minutes of the last meeting held on 23rd September 2019. The last meeting on 20th January 2020 did not go ahead as we were not quorate and the 15th June 2020 meeting did not go ahead because of coronavirus.
37 PLAY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS
a) To review the play inspection safety reports received in July and decide on any work that needs to be carried out. Safety report attached.
b) To note the maintenance document for the safety surface in Foxgloves has been received.
c) To consider the cleaning of the play equipment.
d) To consider providing hand sanitizer in play areas.
e) To consider quotes to mend the step machine at the Foxgloves Outdoor Gym.
f) To consider the replacement of goal posts at Foxgloves.
38 To consider maintenance of the skate park and especially the sand levels.
39 To consider measures to deter the Recreation Ground car park being used for illegal behaviour.
40 To consider quotes for a replacement noticeboard at Spurgeons Close.
Option 1 – same as board opposite Ferndale (recycled plastic wood effect) – £1615.05
Option 2 – similar to Sheppard Way board with double doors (green powder coated aluminium) – £1278
Option 3 – similar to High Street (wood) in aluminium – £1415 and wood – £1480
All include delivery but exclude vat and installation. Decision to make. Paper with cost breakdown and photographs attached.
41 To consider taking part in Wild East https://wildeast.co.uk/ Paper attached.
42 To consider providing new play equipment for older children at Lady Jermy Way (eg a rope climbing frame).
43 GRASS CUTTING CONTRACT
The hedges alongside pathways in Foxgloves, Pembroke Way, Glenville Close and Borley Way were tidied and the crown lifted on a tree in Lady Jermy Way after requests from residents.
44 ZERO CARBON GRANT – Update on ebike scheme and to consider the launch of the ebike scheme in October.
45 RECREATION GROUND HIRE/USE Opportunity to discuss any requests or issues
46 OTHER ISSUES Opportunity to report or table other ideas and issues, not elsewhere on the agenda.
